How do we manage the SPAM that arrives at your domain?

Discover how Bacan.com protects your email from spam with advanced filters and security measures. Keep your inbox free of unwanted emails.

All domains receive spam. All of them, without exception. We could say that spam is one of the many diseases of the web.

Fortunately a lot of progress has been made in treating this "disease" that is spam.

There are many ways to manage spam. Some providers simply delete it, creating the danger of deleting legitimate mail from the client. We consider this a bad option, as it could negatively affect our clients' activities.

WHAT DO WE DO AT BACAN?

We deliver all mail that arrives at your email accounts. But we do it in a way that makes it easy for you to identify emails that are very likely spam. Put simply, we "tag" emails that are spam. And we deliver them to you so you can decide what to do with them.

HOW DO WE TAG SPAM EMAILS?

We add a label at the beginning of the message subject:

  • {Spam?}: Means the message appears to be spam.
  • {Spam++?}: Without a doubt this message is spam. Its spam score is very high.
  • {Virus?}: The message contains a virus.
  • {Dangerous Content?}: The system has detected that reading the message may cause harm to the user.
  • {Fraud?}: The content of the message is an impersonation. Possibly fraud or identity theft attempt.

The labels help our clients decide what they want to do with the delivered message. Many clients may choose to create a rule in their email to automatically delete tagged messages, or put them in a folder for later review.

In any case, we think it's most appropriate that it's the client and not Bacan who makes decisions about what will happen with their email.
